I really wanted to like this show. I mean, really, I did. It is made by the makers of Will & Grace (which I adore). It stars Sophia Bush (who I love). It looks silly and funny and quirky (all of which I like).
I don't like this show.
I just can't make myself care about these characters in any way, or even want to see them again. The show centers around 2 guys who have been friends since childhood. One a gay (very gay) guy and one a straight guy. Now they are adults and partners in business today. What kind of business you ask? I have no idea...because I just don't care enough to wonder or pay attention. They both have crazy attractive girlfriends/boyfriends that are way too hot for them. How did they get them? I don't know...and again, I just don't care. Much of the comedy, to this point anyway, centers on how their close friendship gets in the way of their love relationships (wait...did anyone tell these writers they already did that on Will & Grace) and...well you guessed it, I just don't care.
The show, in my opinion, is trying way to hard to BE Will & Grace and just isn't getting there. While I know that new casts often need time to work out chemistry and so-forth, I also believe that if you can't make me care after 3 episodes...you aren't worth any further effort on my part.
My first show of the season to be officially taken OFF the DVR list is...Partners. I hope you are better than you seem to be to me...
