Day 13 - What's In a Name

July 13: what is the meaning of your blog name

Well this one is pretty easy. It is my name. Karla Jean.

Karla is after my Grandfather Carl Wardlow. I LOVE that I am named for him. One of the oat amazing people ever to live! Also my name is spelled with a K as that is the German way to spell both Karl and Karla. I also LOVE that there is a German element to my name.

Jean is my middle name and my Mom's middle name. I LOVE being named after her too as she is another amazing person. She was named that after her Aunt Jean who died of cancer at a fairly young age. Obviously I never knew aunt Jean but I think it is cool to be part of honoring someone in this way.

So basically....my name is freaking cool. As such I felt no need to co e up with any other name for my blog. My parents did good :)
