Think Beyond Just Pink

March is Colon Cancer Awareness month. Six years ago this June my Mom was diagnosed with colon cancer. She has had numerous surgeries, gone through chemo and pills and...thank God today she is doing great!

Colon cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in men and women combined in the US. The American Cancer Society estimates that 142,820 people will be diagnosed in 2013 and that 50,830 will die from colon cancer in the United States. 1 in 20 people will be diagnosed with colon cancer.

Cancer is the worst word I know. It doesn't matter which kind of cancer, I hate them all! This one is particularly important to my family, and I want to make more people aware of it's dangers. Be aware and when you are able, support the research (for all forms of cancer!) My family will thank you for sure!

See the Support Blue page for more information!
